As part of its fully integrated capability, Oasis can offer Plating, Lapping, Dicing and Brazing services to achieve the special requirements of your product. These services are performed in house in state-of-the-art equipment.
Brazing
Oasis can surface metalize, plate, and braze our ceramic to provide for circuit connections or attachment to other metallic or ceramic components.
- Pin brazing for providing electrical connections
- Assembly brazing for attaching an AlN heater to a metal cooling assembly
- Laser welding of lead wires or sensor wires for high-temperature applications
- Seam welding of cooler components
Plating
Oasis has both electroless and electrolytic capability in nickel, gold, and other noble metals.
Lapping
Lapping and polishing of ceramic substrates available with flatness capability down to the micron level. Oasis has lapping machines up to 72 inches in diameter and polishing machines up to 36-inch diameter.
Dicing
To maintain exacting width and length dimensions, Oasis uses state of the art dicing equipment when the shrinkage tolerance of one-half percent is insufficient given a certain application. This capability also allows for parts to be manufactured in arrays and diced to exacting tolerances.
